Well, fortunately, we live in an age of unprecented access to information. Unfortunately, we also live in an age of fear and paranoia.
So, in an effort to protect our students, we require them to bring home a media release form that gives us permission to post student work online. We should be getting them back very soon.
...stay tuned.

Alphonse Mucha was primarity an illustrator and jewelry designer whose work helped define the Art Noveau movement (although he did not consider himself an Art Noveau artist).
His compostions are just incredible...
He used photo references for his figures, but since they were meant to flatten out anyway, it totally worked.

By the title "Missing Student Work"
I was almost positive you were speaking of past student and the absence of their presence in the art room seats. You know as well as i do, that we all miss me there.
I need to visit and crank out some work.
Miss you guys.

Hey RP, or RCP or Little Dicky... heck yeah, you've got to crank out some new work! Go for it. Do it... or like the folks at Nike say, "just do it".
I can't wait to see student artwork in here! This site can be very helpful for students to get critique on their artwork from their community and local artists.
A great place for student artists to get the critique they want/need without ayone knowing who they are is at http://www.DeviantART.com
I have a page of my own,(http://spazzymonkey.deviantart.com and I get the critique I always wanted without the paranoia of strangers knowing my identity. And it's free and easy to use! I hope this helps. =)
Nouveau/Art Deco...Call it what you want but this is marvelous. Evocative of New York...BTW I can't wait for the student art. You must come back to see it. I had a preview of 14 pieces in ceramic and it, too, is marvelous. Great students with myriad talents
