I think one of the best things about this blog so far is the conversations happening in the comments section. Some of our former art monkeys have been heard to weigh in on various topics, as well as local artists. Hopefully, this will continue to grow...
So- I am going to suggest that anyone out there in the ether who has any topic/question/observation that would serve as a fertile discussion topic either post it in the comments section of this post, or, if'n you're feeling particularly bashful, you can email me at nathaniel.meyer *at* yahoo.com.
Thanks.

ah, N.C. Wyeth- one of my personal favorites, a tremendous illustrator from the golden age (more on N.C. at a later date).
A powerful piece of propaganda...

Argh! I deleted my comment because it was riddled with misspellings! What I tried to say was... I agree. It's great to go to this site and find comments. Keep them coming, please!
I think that this is ture and I am now a fan of this website. My art teacher Mr. Dahlqueit at Edward Little showed me this site and I think that it is great that people have a place to comment about all things art related. I think i will be visiting the website a couple times a month to see what people have said.
i have the same teacher
what would be a very itneresting topic, is of the artistic nudity confusion of today. It seems as though some particular 'artists' have a hard time distinguishing artistic nude and reagular nudity. I feel as though that people are loosing the vision of the artistic side of nudity and are doing nude pictures for attention. this is a big topic on the art community website http://www.deviantart.com ; which does let you post artistic nude, but are very strict with the rules of it. (of course people work on DeviantART and make sure there are no offensive pictures being posted 24/7) I think artistic nudity is wonderful pieces of art that are being looked on as horrible because of those who choose to ruin it by crude pictures.
Yet! What is crude today, maybe not a hundred years ago. What was crude then vs. now ? For that matter, can the two be combined?I am quite sure that the line moves.
